So hard to believe, but Joel and I just celebrated 10 years of marriage on August 15. We couldn't resist a quick trip to the beach, so we packed up the car and headed out for just a couple of nights. As my sister-in-law put it, "it takes just as much stuff for two nights as it does for 2 weeks," when traveling with a baby. Every trip is a learning experience, and we are on the light end of the baby-load compared to a lot of people who enjoy the countless gadgets for babies--there's literally something for every thing.
Rebekah turned 8 months last Monday and keeps getting bigger. We don't go to the doctor again until her 9 month appointment, but she's got to be exceeding the length percentiles--this little girl is going to be tall! She likes to eat fruit and veggies, along with her formula and can feed herself cheerios--she's been doing that over a month now. And, she learned how to clap--she even claps when you say "clap," as you'll see in the video. She also likes to make noises when bouncing on Joel's lap. : )

So cute! I will have to show these to Ruby (Selamawit)! She loved her Solina Solina! You should teach her "If your happy and you know it clap your hands". Jovie started loving that song around that time!
My SIL just had a baby and I told Ruby about it and she was excited but then dissapointed when she found out it was a boy. She said she wanted me to have a baby and I said no way, but that Callie (my youngest) was the last baby. She was happy with that for the fact that she loves Callie the best!
During a car trip the other day my kids were discussing the cutest babies in the world. Of course, their very own Timothy took #1, but guess who came in a close second?

We have just started the adoption process for Ethiopia, for a sibling group. We are just waiting on one more thing for our dossier and then it'll be done!
